On September 10, a delegation from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, consisting of Mr. May Ha, Mr. Dinh Van Nya, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoi Cham, and Mr. Le Manh Luan, came to our university. They have significant achievements in various fields, including representatives of science, government, and business, but they are all united by the fact that they were studying in higher education institutions in Ukraine.
In particular, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoi completed postgraduate course in our University in1992, majoring in Food Technologies.
The guests met and communicated fruitfully with the University Rector, Professor Anatolii Ukrainets. They learned about the structure of the NUFT educational and scientific complex, the bachelor’s and master’s programs under which specialists are trained at the university, the conditions of study of foreign students. Vietnamese scientists are interested in science schools and scientific publications of NUFT. They spoke very favorably of the autonomy of Ukrainian higher education institutions, noting that Vietnamese higher education institutions should obtain permission from the Ministry of Education for any decisions regarding their domestic life.
During the visit, the guests visited the department of technology of fermentation and winemaking products, talked with its manager Anatoly Kuts, visited the educational and scientific laboratories. They were impressed by the level of technical equipment of the educational process and scientific research. And our former graduate student Nguyen Thi Hoi Cham recalled how she conducted her research in these laboratories and with the special warmth her supervisor, Professor Anatoly Meletyev.
On behalf of former Vietnamese undergraduate and graduate students, members of the delegation expressed their appreciation for the high-quality education they received in Ukrainian universities, which was the key to their success, and they also took the opportunity to congratulate NUFT on the 135th anniversary of its founding.
