By Order No. 131 of NUFT dated October 25, 2017, the International Relations Department (hereinafter referred to as the Department) was established.
Main Objectives of the Department:
- Providing informational and communication support to the university administration in formulating prospective plans for the university’s international activities.
- Directly implementing these plans by ensuring broad representation of the university in global and European professional, scientific, and university associations, unions, etc.
- Organizing and supporting the activities of associations such as IUFoST, EFFoST, EHEDG, GHI, IAU, IFA, and BSUN with the university’s participation.
- Preparing and conducting international conferences at NUFT.
- Facilitating the participation of NUFT researchers in international and European conferences.
- Planning, coordinating, and overseeing the university’s international activities, both in the short and long term.
- Collecting, studying, and summarizing new regulatory and legal acts related to the organization of international activities of higher education institutions and the education of international students, as well as disseminating this information on university notice boards and websites.
- Coordinating the activities of university units in drafting and updating international agreements and contracts to enhance the effectiveness of joint projects and programs, and monitoring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Processing and maintaining records of international agreements and contracts signed on behalf of NUFT, ensuring their storage and monitoring their implementation deadlines.
- Preparing documents and handling correspondence with institutions and organizations within the Department’s competence, including correspondence related to international integration and educational programs (including in foreign languages).
- Analyzing proposals and preparing orders to approve the composition of delegations sent on international assignments.
- Preparing and conducting international scientific and educational forums (congresses, conferences, seminars, etc.).
- Collecting, analyzing, and documenting information on the participation of students, graduate students, and staff in international forums, including their involvement in international conferences and publications.
- Collaborating with other university units to provide services related to the education of international students in accredited fields and specialties, as well as preparing international students for admission to Ukrainian higher education institutions.
- Establishing cooperation to implement “Double Diploma” and “Dual Degree” programs.
- Maintaining relationships with foreign partners regarding joint exchange programs and international internship programs for university faculty and students.
- Providing information and advisory support to academic staff and students on opportunities for international internships, practical training, and participation in international projects and programs.
- Inviting highly qualified foreign specialists to the university to deliver lectures, provide consultations, conduct joint research, and offer methodological assistance in improving the structure and system of education.
- Processing and recording invitations for foreign specialists, organizing the reception of foreign delegations visiting the university at the administration level, and preparing programs for their stay at the university.
- Preparing necessary reports on the Department’s activities.
- Ensuring broad coverage of international activities on the university and Department websites, regularly posting up-to-date information on all aspects of the university’s international engagement, providing technical support for the Department’s website, and creating an interactive page for international students.
