Lecturers of the Educational-Scientific Institute of Food Technologies, Head of the Department of Baking and Confectionery Technology Volodymyr Kovbasa, Associate Professor of the Department of Technology of Baking and Confectionery Inna Zinchenko and Associate Professor of the Department of Food Expertise Oksana Petrusha were training at the Department of Plant Technology and Product Quality at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences of the Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra during a week.
This higher education institution is the only one in the territory of Slovakia that trains specialists in the field of food technology, and is ranked 3rd in the ranking of universities in Slovakia.
The main issues of the internship were aspects of the organization of the educational process, the content of the curriculum, programs of disciplines in the field of food technology and food security.
Moments of research were a separate part of the internship. Slovak colleagues shared their experience in participating in European programs and grants, and demonstrated examples of Bachelor’s and Master’s diploma works.
Eva Ivanisova made an excursion to the teaching and scientific laboratories of the department and faculty.
Our lecturers have been impressed by the modern approach to sensory analysis of foodstuffs with the detection of the brain of the consumer when evaluating a product using an encephalogram.
During the internship, the lecturers were tutored by Assistant Professor of the Department of Technology and Quality of Crop Products, Eva Ivanisova, and Jan Marecek, Head of the Department.
Representatives of our university also met with the Dean of the Faculty and discussed the prospects of further close cooperation.
