Ukraine has been actively involved in the programs of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), one of the largest educational organizations in the world, for 14 years already. DAAD provides students, postgraduates and teachers with mobility and enables talented young people throughout the world to get academic internships or increase their qualification in Germany. In 1998 Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the German Academic Exchange Service was signed. This agreement involved the establishment of DAAD representation in Kyiv.
