Summarized results of the 85th Anniversary International Scientific Conference of young scientists, graduate students and students “Scientific achievements of youth – solving the problems of nutrition of mankind in the 21st century”, which was held at our university on April 11-12.
This scientific holiday once again reminded of the glorious scientific and educational traditions of NUFT, the role of creative youth in the creation of our university and the formation of powerful, recognized in the world scientific schools from all directions of food science.
The conference was held in 50 sections representing all branches of food science, technology and technology. More than 700 young scientists, graduate students and students from Ukrainian educational institutions and other countries have made presentations.
Among our guests, the most actively participated in the conference students’ and graduate students’ delegations of Stefan cel Mare University (Romania), Odessa National Academy of Food Technology, Kharkov Polytechnic Institute, institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
According to the results of the conference, more than 1,700 abstracts were published in three volumes, more than 100 of which were from universities in Belarus, Moldova, Bulgaria, Romania and other countries. It should be noted that the largest number of technical reports was sent by representatives of the Belarusian National Technical University (Minsk).
Poster sessions were organized this year to promote the results of youth research and development more widely. This form of presentation of research results contributes to a faster and more complete dissemination of scientific and technical information, and poster collections will continue to promote our science schools. All participants of the poster sessions were separately marked and presented before the awarding of diplomas of I-III degrees.
Attention should be paid to the work of English-speaking sections on food production processes, equipment and systems; food and chemical technology, as well as economics and management. In total, more than 60 young scientists and students have submitted their papers in English, and about 100 of them are in English.
Summarizing the results of the conference, Vice-rector for scientific work, Professor Alexander Shevchenko thanked the participants and guests of the conference for hard work, enthusiasm, attention to our conference, expressed confidence that the youth presented at the conference will develop food science.
