June 10, 2015 our University received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Argentina to Ukraine Lila Roldan Vazquez de Moine

       

June 10, 2015 our University received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Argentina to Ukraine Lila Roldan Vazquez de Moine. Mrs. Ambassador visited our University with the purpose to open a School of Tourism "Discover Argentina" on the basis of our University. Vice-Rector NUFR for International Relations and Integration Jaroslav Zasyadko and Head of the Tourist and Hotel Business Department Dariya Basiuk welcomed Mrs. de Moine.

The School of Tourism was established by the Embassy of the Republic of Argentina in Ukraine and has been successfully running for several years at the Embassy.

Mrs. Ambassador had prepared a presentation about the School of Tourism for the students of the Faculty of Hotel-Restaurant and Tourism Business, during which she emphasized that this School is unique. In her speech Mrs. de Moine noted that this educational project of the Embassy of Argentina in Ukraine "Discover Argentina" was created for the Ukrainian tour operators. More than 50 employees of travel agencies, as well as students of our University had finished this School.

The training program consists of 13 lessons, including theoretical and practical courses, which are held once a month during the year. All graduates of the School of Tourism will receive a Certificate.

Representatives of leading Ukrainian travel companies also visited this meeting. Mrs. Ambassador introduced the teacher of the School Anna Lysenko, and the Embassy’s program coordinator Lesia Vasylyk.

Mrs. de Moine told about numerous Ukrainian Diaspora in Argentina, presented her country as a tourist object, told about further cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Argentina under the signed international agreements, which referred to the visa-free regime (already running) and the mutual recognition of Diplomas (come into force in the nearest future).

At the end of her visit Mrs. Ambassador express her gratitude to the University administration for assistance with the School and for popularization of Argentina among the Ukrainian society.

After communication with Mrs. Ambassador, there was a first class of School of Tourism, where its students received practical knowledge about tourist objects and organization of tours to Argentina.

 


Meeting with a delegation from the University of Labour Safety Management in Katowice (Poland)

May 28, 2015, the representatives of our Rectorate received a delegation from the University of Labour Safety Management in Katowice (Poland).

The Polish delegation was headed by the University Counselor for the International Relations Prof. Malgorzata Sikorska. Vice-Rector for Science Prof. Andrzej Misiolek the Member of Polish Parliament was an Honorable Member of the delegation. Vice-Rector for Scientific Research Prof. Mostenska T., Vice-Rector for International Relations and Integration, Prof. Zasiadko Ya., Head of the Tourist and Hotel Business Department (Faculty of Hotel-Restaurant and Tourism Business), Prof. Basiyk В hosted the meeting from the Ukrainian part.

The content of the meeting was dedicated to the extremely important issue for us. The main point was the "Double Diploma" issue which, if successes, will grant our students a chance to get awarded a Polish (European recognized) Diplomas as well as Ukrainian national ones. The discussion on the agenda was complex and tough.
